Jimmy and I went down to Vegas for his frisbee tournament this weekend. Lemme tell ya - 55 degrees sure beats 22! It was beautiful! We stayed at my Aunt Julie’s house Friday night, which was right off of I-15 , the only house on the exit - pretty much the middle of the desert. We heard a pack of coyotes in the middle of the night. That was cool. They sounded like injured ghost-wolves - high and yippy (as opposed to “yippee”). It was kind of haunting.

School Stuff
Danika and I went and bought books today. This is my last semester and I’m taking four English classes, one of which is a writing class that has no required text. How many books do you think I had to get for the other three? I polled my family and the guesses ranged from 7 to 15 books - everyone was low.

I have to read 28 books this semester. While none of them are textbooks (except for my Organizational Behavior class, which we’re not even discussing now), none of them are “Hop on Pop” either. See anything you like? Ill let you know what my most and least favorites are as the semester goes.

Baby
How fitting is it for our very first post on our brand new blog to be about something else that’s brand new. That’s right, Danika and I are having a baby! Well, Danika’s having a baby, that is. My contribution was rather minuscule and ended some months ago. Anyway, here’s our first picture of the little bugger (not sure if it’s a boy or girl yet, so we’ve been struggling with what to call . . . it).
We’re actually having a baby peanut. Danika says it looks like Slimer.

The doctor called this one the “Skeletor shot.”

To us, he looked like somebody else you might know . . .

Strongtor? Skele-bad? Regardless, we’re really excited to be parents. Or to be about to be parents. We’ll find out the gender sometime in February. The due date is July 9th.
Now that we’ve got this fancy blog, we’ll keep you posted.
