So the weekend we went to Seattle was record-setting hot (like it got up to 90 degrees
) . . . until Monday when we forayed into the city itself. There it was chilly and wet. I loved it!

Random little place on the pier.

It was Hailey’s actual birthday, so she got to have fun in Seattle, too!

We went to the cool science museum, and, what luck! they had the Madagascar hissing cockroaches out!

It was Hailey’s third birthday while we were in Seattle, and Natalie made some of her amazing cupcakes for the occasion. Hailey wanted the shark ones, and boy were they cool!

Jimmy got really excited about fishing in the lake after he snorkeled and saw a giant bass under water, so we all tried our hand at catching “the big one.” Luckily this fishing trip was much more successful than the last!

He caught not one, but 3 fish! All of them were over a foot long!

Lewis was not so lucky. But in the end he caught one, too! (a real fish)

. . . and this is what I did most of the day. This is the life!

Natalie’s dad had rented a house on a beautiful lake where we stayed one night. We took their boat out that evening to watch the sunset.

This weekend we went up to Seattle to visit our very amazing friends, Lewis & Natalie. Of course we had a blast and they showed us all around that beautiful area. We knew we’d love it just from the flight in, when we saw impressive mountains coated in trees and mist. The first place they took us was a waterfall in the mountains. Beautiful!!

Baby
Sorry it took us so long to put these up! Here are some pictures of Henry since our last post!

This is our “sleepy wrap.” Henry loves it!

Jimmy’s an amazing father. He’s always willing to take a turn with the baby - especially when I’m at the end of my rope . . . and especially if he gets to watch the olympics!

Right before bath time. Jimmy’s practicing kangaroo care - Henry doesn’t seem to mind the hair.

This is Henry with his great-grandpa. Can you see the resemblance?

Hello? Grandma? Jimmy tried getting him to play with some toys
